Job summary

June Mountain Ski Area in June Lake, California is seeking a seasonal team member to support ski school operations and provide care for young learners. You will help with setup, check-ins, and supervising children, while assisting instructors and coordinating lesson-related tasks.

The position involves equipment rentals, lunch service, and ensuring clean and safe Ski School areas. Benefits include among others a seasonal pass and various employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and friendly, with interest in working with children.
• Flexible, positive, a team player; able to work in variable weather.
• Experience with children (e.g., babysitting) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of lesson and meeting areas.
• Check in students to their Ski & Snowboard lessons.
• Support instructors with class handling, entertaining kids or bathroom breaks.
• Handle lesson sales and provide support as needed.
• Assist with equipment rentals.
• Serve and assist at lunch and snack times.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• Operate surface lifts.
• Clean Ski School areas throughout the day and at day's end.

A Little About The Position

Set up and tear down of lesson and meeting areas. Checking in students to their Ski & Snowboard lessons. Supporting instructors with class handling, entertaining kids or bathroom breaks. Lesson sales and support. Equipment rentals. Serving and assisting at lunch and snack times. Supervision of children both indoors and outdoors. Operation of Surface Lifts. Cleaning of all Ski School areas throughout the day and at the end of the day.

Hourly pay rate: $20-$21.47
