Primary Purpose: Assist Journeyman HVAC Technicians in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems throughout district facilities. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs under the supervision of qualified personnel while developing the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Journeyman HVAC Technician.

Hand tools, power tools, multimeters, refrigerant gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, leak detectors, thermometers, ladders, aerial lifts, refrigerant charging equipment, and standard maintenance equipment.
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment weighing over 50 pounds. Frequent work from ladders, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and aerial lifts. Responsibilities may require irregular work hours and after‑hours emergency response.
Environment: Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, electrical equipment, refrigerants, moving mechanical equipment, confined spaces, elevated work areas, and other hazards associated with HVAC maintenance. Must wear appropriate PPE and follow established safety procedures.
