Apprentice HVAC Installer

Are you mechanically inclined and interested in a career in HVAC? Aire Serv of Fargo is seeking an Apprentice HVAC Installer to join our team!

Pay Range: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, some Fridays as necessary

This installation role includes mostly residential and some light commercial work. Help deliver customer’s heating and cooling needs by providing quality system installations including Split Systems, Duct Work, Air Handlers, Furnaces, Condensers, thermostats, IAQ products, smart home devices and more.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry.

What You'll Do:

1. Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems; work with ductwork, piping, and ventilation systems;
2. Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals;
3. Learn proper refrigerant handling and air distribution techniques;
4. Follow safety procedures and industry standards to ensure quality work.

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude – Experience working with tools, machinery, or mechanical systems in a related field such as ductwork installation, construction, or equipment maintenance.
2. Knowledge of HVAC systems – Basic understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including ductwork and airflow principles.
3. Problem-solving & troubleshooting skills – Logical thinking and ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
4. Basic math & blueprint reading skills – Understanding measurements and technical diagrams.
5. Attention to detail & willingness to learn – Ability to follow instructions, absorb new skills, and develop expertise in HVAC.
6. Physical strength & stamina – Ability to work in awkward and confined spaces in all temperatures; must be able to lift heavy materials and tools up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
