Job summary

Prescient Edge in Patuxent River, MD is seeking an Apprentice Engineer to contribute to weapons systems analysis and integration. This entry-level role emphasizes learning through on-the-job training, design reviews, and hands-on project tasks supporting defense programs.

The position requires minimal practical experience, a technical degree progress (60 credits toward a degree with a 3.0 GPA), and a TOP SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• 60 credit hours toward a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Security clearance TOP SECRET is required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Apply engineering experience to system integration, configuration management, QA testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to weapon systems or related support systems.
