Job summary

Saulsbury Industries is seeking an Electrical Apprentice for Loving, NM to join our industrial construction team. You will learn safety procedures, assist with wire pulling, use hand and power tools, and support maintenance communication on-site.

Ideal candidates have basic construction experience, a willingness to train, and the ability to work 60+ hours per week in a heavy industry environment. Safety training and compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 6-47 months of experience in the industrial, electrical construction environment.
• Ability to pass drug test as mandated by Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
• Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
• Attend safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.

• Performs work area clean-up and safety-related duties.

General Information/Job Summary

The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for knowing and following appropriate safety procedures. Must have construction experience within the Industrial Construction Project Environment.

Responsibilities/Competencies

• Performs miscellaneous tasks that require manually moving materials, tools, and equipment and using hand tools and power tools.
• Performs work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
• Communicates with various personnel concerning initiation of maintenance.
• Required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor or designated representative.
• Requires working in operating facilities and observing and abiding by additional safety policies and procedures.
• Performs wire pulling.
• Spotters for Equipment Operators.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 6-47 months of experience in the industrial, electrical construction environment.
• Texas State Apprentice License Safety Requirements On a continual basis, it promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies.
• Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
• Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
• Attend safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
• Attend various training classes as may be assigned by management.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.
• Must own Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC).
• Must be clean shaved.
