Job Description

Job Summary:

We are an innovative electrical contractor seeking a motivated and hard-working Year 1/2 Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to begin your career in sustainable electrification, supporting exciting projects in LED lighting, EV charging, and solar installations. Reporting to the Project Manager and working under the guidance of a site Foreperson, you’ll help bring projects to life efficiently, safely, and with high quality.

This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation starting at $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a Health Spending Account, Thrive gear, and two weeks of paid vacation annually.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in installing LED lighting, EV charging, and solar systems
  2. Support lift operations, site prep, and material handling
  3. Maintain clean and safe work areas
  4. Follow safety procedures and quality control practices
  5. Learn to read and interpret project drawings and specifications
  6. Collaborate with team members and support the site Foreperson
  7. Represent Thrive’s professionalism and core values on site
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
  2. 0–1 year of practical electrical experience
  3. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  4. Physically able to lift and work with tools and equipment
  5. Lift ticket is an asset but not required
  6. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  7. Interest in sustainable energy and clean technologies
  8. Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
