Job summary

Pneumatech is seeking an Apprentice Electrician/Helper to assist in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems for clients in the oil and gas sector. The role works under the supervision of a Master Electrician and Lead; work is often outdoors in varying weather and noisy environments.

Responsibilities include learning safety policies, helping install and repair components, assembling panels and raceways, running conduit, tracing shorts, and keeping tools and areas

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year electrical experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Oilfield experience is a plus.
• Basic math, reading skills and basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to Pneumatech's safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting and DC systems.
• Construct electrical systems of panels, equipment and raceways using power tools.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit including EMT and MC cable.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend conduit; trace short circuits with a test meter.
• Inspect units for loose connections and tighten as needed.
• Maintain clean work area, tools, vehicle and supplies.
