EIG Electrical Systems, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our vibrant team. Together, we'll work toward our vision of creating a brighter, more sustainable future.

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in our commercial facilities. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced electricians to develop their skills and knowledge in the electrical trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical systems and a willingness to learn and grow with our company.

Duties

1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including low and high voltage circuits.
2. Use hand tools and power tools to perform electrical work, including the use of an ohmmeter and voltmeter.
3. Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
4. Work on construction sites and follow all necessary safety protocols.
5. Assist in the construction of electrical enclosures and other electrical components.
6. Learn and apply knowledge of commercial electrical systems and codes.
7. Collaborate with experienced electricians to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
8. Perform routine inspections to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.

Requirements

1. At least 1 year of electrical work or equivalent experience.
2. Knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.
3. Familiarity with low and high voltage electrical systems.
4. Experience with hand tools and power tools.
5. Ability to work on construction sites and follow safety protocols.
6. Strong understanding of electrical theory and commercial electrical systems and codes.
7. Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, and climbing.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
