Job summary

TurnPoint Services’ Reliable Services unit in South Florida is seeking an Apprentice Electrical for hands-on paid experience under a licensed journeyman. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems while building the foundation to become an expert in the trade.

The role emphasizes customer education, clear communication, and daily skill growth in a supportive apprenticeship program that offers comprehensive career development and safety-focused training.

Qualifications

• You bring strong communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical documents and explain concepts clearly to customers and team members.
• You have solid mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and the ability to interpret bar graphs.
• Your excellent problem-solving and reasoning abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot issues, make sound decisions, helps to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• You’re comfortable using computers and technology, including data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Physical stamina and adaptability, able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and safely climb ladders or scaffolding.
• You have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from experienced journeymen while growing your skills in the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in apprenticeship classes, achieving passing grades in both classroom and hands-on training assessments.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair or replace electrical systems under the guidance of a licensed journeyman, gaining practical, on-the-job experience.
• Educate and assist customers in selecting products, repairs, and services to enhance their electrical systems, delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Follow established scripts and procedures to ensure a consistent, professional experience for every customer.
• Develop your skills and knowledge daily, building a strong foundation for a long-term career in the electrical trade.
