Position Overview

As an Apprentice, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Journeyperson on commercial and residential sites throughout the Largo – Tampa service area, helping to deliver high‑quality electrical solutions and services to our clients. You will assist with troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and equipment to ensure safe, code‑compliant operation. This role is your launchpad — you will gain hands‑on experience across multiple trades within our company, complete classroom instruction, and progress toward becoming a licensed Journeyperson Electrician with a company that genuinely invests in your growth.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Assist in diagnosing, installing, and repairing electrical issues, ensuring all systems and equipment are safe, efficient, and up to code.
  • Worksite Assistance: Support the lead electrician or journeyperson by preparing and maintaining work areas, including measuring, cutting, and bending conduit, and performing other tasks needed for installations and repairs.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with clients. Move materials and tools to and from the service vehicle to the client’s home or business with care and cleanliness.
  • Worksite Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe during and after each task. Ensure tools and materials are stored properly at the end of the day.
  • Education & Growth: Actively participate in on‑the‑job learning and formal apprenticeship education to gain the skills required to become a Journeyperson Electrician.
  • Team Support: Perform additional tasks as needed to support your assigned lead electrician or journeyperson, customers, and the company.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required)
  • Ability to pass a background check (Required)
  • Ability to pass a drug test (Required)Proficiency with basic hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, screwdrivers, testers) and the ability to safely operate power tools (Required)
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, squat, bend, and climb ladders (Required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team (Required)
  • Willingness to enroll in and complete a registered electrical apprenticeship program (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior trade school coursework or related field experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Familiarity with NEC fundamentals applicable to Florida.
Working Conditions
  • Physical demands include lifting heavy materials and tools, working in confined spaces, and working at varying heights.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including the heat and humidity typical of Florida’s climate.
  • Daily travel to job sites within the assigned service area.
  • Standard work hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on job, customer, or company needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
  • Wage Range: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Weekly cell phone reimbursement.

Time Off & Holidays
  • 9 paid holidays per year.
  • Year 1: 56 hours of earned PTO.
  • After your first full year: 80 hours of PTO.
  • Year 5: 120 hours of PTO.
  • Year 10 and beyond: 160 hours of PTO.
