Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking construction professionals to build, install, and repair structures using aluminum, steel, concrete, and other materials. You will read blueprints, lay out materials, and install foundations, walls, and fixtures on site.

Applicants must be able to work with scales and levels, follow safety rules, and collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and architects as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Job description

Construction and Installation

• Build, install, and repair a variety of structures and fixtures.
• Work with aluminum, steel, concrete, and other materials.
• Erect concrete forms, plumb, level, and grade.
• Place embeds and rig large formwork.
• Install windows, doors, and other fixtures within steel structures.
• Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Install trim, moldings, and other finishing details.

Blueprint Reading and Layout

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
• Prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials needed.
• Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or instructions.

Tool Operation and Material Handling

• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate tools and machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Fasten materials with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
• Move necessary materials around the job site.

Safety and Quality

• Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; correct problems as needed.

Other Duties

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
• May operate equipment needed to place concrete.
• Work with other construction professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and architects.
• Perform minor calculations to assess load requirements and material dimensions.
• May be involved in demolition and maintenance of structures.
