Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Controls Technician to support customers by programming temperature control systems based on project specifications in Fairbanks, Alaska.

You will assist other technicians with installation, warranty, emergency and maintenance service on installed systems. The role requires some knowledge of HVAC and building automation, with opportunities for training through the ASP Building Automation Technician Program and a path toward

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Some working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming databases for all supported systems to meet sequences of operation and manufacturer recommendations.
• Help calibrate and check-out control systems and ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Assist in preparing and delivering graphical user interfaces for projects as required.
• Update drawings and maintain records of equipment for as-built documentation.
