PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As an Apprentice Bartender (Barback), you will be responsible for assisting the bartender and maintaining the appearance of the bar.

Qualifications - Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience as an apprentice bartender.
- Money handling experience.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, supplies, and equipment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Knowledge of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform tasks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the bartender with the preparation of drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
- Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas.
- Ensure proper setup, labeling, stocking, and delivery of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
- Clean equipment, tools, and supplies; polish glassware; ensure equipment is in working order.
- Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignments.
- Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests, staying alert to their needs and responding effectively to inquiries.
- Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, and notify the supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
