In addition to providing unparalleled guest service, you'll assist in creating beautiful and delicious art for our guests and provide the sweets that will be the hit of their parties. Other key responsibilities include producing quality bakery products to meet customer requirements and building customer loyalty through exemplary service. This is an exciting opportunity to learn all aspects of the Bakery Department, including Clerk and Cake Decorator functions. You’ll focus on baker duties, especially if you have minimal or no retail decorating experience. Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in Bakery or related industry
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years old

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to established scratch procedures when necessary.
• Prepare and form products according to scratch recipes and specifications.
• Bake products using appropriate time and temperature as specified by recipes.
• Insert products into proof box, set controls, and close door to ensure proper size and shape.
• Prepare and fry donuts following established procedures.
• Use freezer to preserve freshness by inserting and retrieving products as needed.
• Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and offer samples when appropriate.
• Prioritize safety in all work aspects for team members, guests, and products.
• Greet customers, assist in locating products, answer questions, and make suggestions to ensure exemplary customer service.
• Handle products and equipment following food safety and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work area, and storage to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Bake and rotate products in bakery cases, ensuring freshness and proper dating.
• Follow safety, sanitation, emergency procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Record special orders accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Understand ingredients and their purposes in scratch baked goods.
• Assemble ingredients for baking and prepare recipes.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and maintaining bakery backroom, cooler, and freezer efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required.
