Drive Autogroup is seeking an apprentice technician to join Village Nissan’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

A desire to perform quality repairs, personal pride in workmanship, and a focus on customer satisfaction are important aspects of the job. Road testing and safety adherence are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
• Candidate should show enthusiasm for service work.
• Ability to diagnose service problems and plan repairs before proceeding.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/maintenance repairs on customer vehicles as assigned and designated on the repair order.
• Perform repairs on company owned vehicles - new, used and service vehicles, as assigned and designated on the work order.
• Perform work on vehicles under warranty, as assigned, and comply with warranty policies.
• Road test vehicles after repairs are completed, to ensure that the repairs are proper and meet the repair order.
• Discuss any problems related to the repair with service management.
• Inform the Service Manager or Service Advisor of any additional repairs needed or advised.
• Attend any and all training courses as requested by service management.
• Attend any and all department or dealership meetings as requested.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, shop and equipment.
• Obey any and all safety rules, and work accordingly.
• Sign out any essential tools when required, return them to their proper place when finished, and keep the storage area neat and tidy.
• Refer all customer enquiries to a Service Consultant. All customer contacts must be courteous and helpful.
