Job summary

HomeServe USA is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform preventive maintenance and install minor parts on all types of HVAC equipment, including residential tune-ups. This role requires accurate data entry and use of electronic equipment to document service activities and parts used.

You will maintain inventory, order parts as needed, and work independently with strong customer communication to ensure safe, efficient service. HomeServe USA is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Familiar with and able to utilize electronic equipment for data entry and queries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in operation of various HVAC systems and components.

Job description

  • Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance and installs minor/routine parts on all types of HVAC equipment. Install HVAC equipment and other appliances as needed. Completes preventive maintenance, including cleans.

Responsibilities:

  • Residential Heating tune-ups OR Residential air conditioning tune-ups.
  • Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment (e.g. torches, cutters, drills, test equipment, filters, control components, fan blades, gaskets, seals, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory ensuring availability of required parts and equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
  • Must be able to work independently and have good customer communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The hourly pay range will start at $20.00 - $23.00/hr

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English in a proficient manner.
  • Must be familiar with and able to utilize electronic equipment, including, but not limited to a computer, for the purposes of queries and accurate data entry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in operation, service and use of a variety of HVAC systems, equipment and related components.
