Job summary

Blondify – Williamsburg is seeking a punctual, patient salon assistant to join our welcoming salon environment in New York. The ideal candidate is passionate about blonding, the beauty industry, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities include greeting clients, assisting stylists with shampooing and blow-drying, and maintaining a clean salon. 3–4 day weeks (one weekend day), with opportunities for in-person education and growth toward a junior stylist role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NYS Cosmetology License or active enrollment in Cosmetology School preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficiency in rinsing and shampooing color and basic blow-dry skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Prior salon experience is a plus but not required.
• Service Industry or Retail experience strongly preferred.
• Schedule requires 3–4 days per week, including one weekend day.

Compensation:

• Start at $16.50 per hour plus tips with opportunity for an increase after 90 days.

• 40% commission on services rendered including glosses, extensions, single processes, etc.

• 3-4 days a week with the opportunity for in-person education with @blondebybritt and work towards becoming a junior Stylist.

• Monthly ongoing education classes.
