Job summary

Mr Smokestack Chimney Service is seeking a Chimney Apprentice to train alongside experienced technicians. You’ll install, repair, and maintain chimney systems while learning the trade from the ground up.

Candidates should be dependable and eager to learn, with construction experience preferred. The role requires lifting, outdoor work, and a commitment to safety; training, mentorship, and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, roofing, masonry, HVAC, carpentry, or another skilled trade.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Comfortable outdoors in all seasons and able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude; reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chimney installations, repairs, relining, and maintenance.
• Load/unload and prepare tools, equipment, and materials.
• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices.
• Work safely on ladders, rooftops, and elevated areas.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional.
• Provide outstanding customer service while representing the company.
• Complete job documentation and communicate progress with the team.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE, and fall protection.

What You'll Do:

• Following all company safety policies, including proper PPE and fall protection.
