Job summary

The Appraisal Analyst position with the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is located in Murfreesboro, TN. You will support the Division of Property Assessments by assisting property assessors, contributing to reappraisal programs, and ensuring accuracy and compliance of the state's property tax system.

You will work with management, local governments, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality service, maintain statewide standards, and participate in audits and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong, credible relationships with local government officials and coworkers.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with diverse personalities and organizational levels.
• Ability to perform effectively in a modern office environment.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review assessment records to ensure accurate mapping, sales verification, and data quality.
• Train and support local officials in appraisal of real and personal property for tax assessment.
• Assist in reappraisal programs, ratio studies, and current value updates.
• Conduct annual audits to confirm compliance with state law.
• Build and maintain relationships with local officials and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
