Job summary

DPR Construction in Richmond, VA is seeking an entry-level Electrician Apprentice to support licensed electricians by preparing materials, tools, and work areas for daily tasks. You will learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under supervision, follow detailed wiring instructions, and participate in on-the-job and classroom training to develop trade skills.

OSHA 10 certification is preferred, with completion within 6 months of hire; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program is required.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required if not already completed.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Learns to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under direct supervision.
  • Follows detailed instructions to complete basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
  • Observes and practices safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Documents completed tasks and materials used to assist with project tracking, and communicates progress and questions to crew members to facilitate learning and project coordination.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of job sites and workspaces.
  • Participates in structured on-the-job and classroom training to develop trade skills and understanding of construction process.

Job Summary
