Tops Markets is accepting applications for current and future part-time openings. A brief description of each department is listed below. Tops has a history of promoting from within, and all full-time positions are posted internally first. A part-time position could lead to a long career if you possess the drive, motivation, and desire to help our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Front End – The final point of contact with our customers. As a cashier or cart clerk, your most important responsibility is to make a positive, friendly, and lasting impression on our customers.

Bakery - Slice, price, package, and display baked goods, ensure product is stocked, rotated, and stored properly.

Pharmacy - Assist in providing health-related services. Retrieve medications, count or pour medications, label containers, price prescriptions, enter customer data, keep accurate records, and complete pharmacy paperwork. Maintain security of controlled substances and ensure ordered supplies are stocked.

Deli/Carryout Cafe - Fulfill customer requests for deli and/or prepared foods (e.g., ready-made meals, salads, pizzas, subs). Slice deli meats/cheeses, prepare products for cases, and ensure proper storage and display.

General Merchandise - Stock shelves, create and maintain product displays, organize the backroom, and ensure proper storage. Includes first aid items, non-food items, and seasonal products.

Grocery - Stock shelves, create displays, and organize the backroom.

Meat - Stock, store, rotate, weigh, label, and display meat products. Assist customers with meat questions. Certified meat cutters or apprentices ensure quality cuts and handle processing and packaging of meat products.

Produce - Stock, store, rotate, water, process, wrap, slice, weigh, and package produce. Fulfill customer orders for fruit and vegetable platters or baskets.

Seafood - Stock, store, rotate, weigh, label, display seafood, and assist with customer inquiries and requests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, and communicate with customers and associates.
