Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK invites applications for the tenure-track 11-month position of Assistant Professor of Small Ruminants in the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and develop an applied research program centered on sheep and goat production.

Preference will be given to individuals with sheep and goat production experience, strong teaching credentials, and a proven ability

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Animal Science or a closely related field is required.
Documented interest, experience and appreciation of production agriculture.
Commitment to teaching and research; ability to work in teams and lead.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in animal science relevant to expertise and department needs.
Recruit and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
Contribute to scholarly teaching and learning research, curriculum development, external grants/contracts, and other scholarly efforts.
Build strong, collaborative industry relationships for student internships and careers.
Develop an applied research program utilizing the Sheep and Goat Center aligned with training and expertise and publish findings.
