Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to build state-of-the-art ML models for biology on a Special Projects team. You will collaborate with a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and product managers to bring innovative solutions to market in an entrepreneurial environment.

PhD in CS/ML or related field is required, with experience in Python, Java, and C++. Unix/Linux experience and a track record in professional software development are preferred.

Basic Qualifications
  • PhD in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Unix/Linux
  • Experience in professional software development
  • Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
  • Experience in deep learning models for life sciences; knowledge of protein biology.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
