Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
• Experience contributing to open source projects and driving features upstream into third-party OSS used in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build AI-powered security applications and tooling with LLM-based systems using Bedrock, SageMaker, and state-of-the-art patterns.
• Transform manual processes into high-volume, machine-speed pipelines without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborate with and influence other leaders across stakeholders in the open source ecosystem.
• Drive proactive security automation to identify and remediate issues in deliverables.
• Own operational excellence: define SLAs, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and incident response; participate in on-call rotation.
• Lead technical design: produce design documents, conduct trade-offs, and align across organizations.
• Design and conduct scientific research using machine learning and deep learning to address complex problems and invent new approaches.
• Build, train, and evaluate production-quality models using PyTorch or TensorFlow with rigorous experimentation.
• Write clean, maintainable code that integrates into production systems with high reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to translate insights into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to the scientific community by publishing and mentoring.
