Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance Generative AI and synthetic data across video, audio, and 3D modalities. You will develop generative models and 3D simulation pipelines, and evaluate impact on production models while mentoring junior scientists.

The role demands strong ML expertise, a record of impactful research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ship science artifacts to products.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years CS/CE/ML experience.
• Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, especially CV.
• 2+ years building ML models for business applications.
• Proficient in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune generative models and 3D pipelines across modalities.
• Develop training recipes mixing synthetic and real data and strategize data usage.
• Build evaluation methods predicting synthetic data impact without full training.
• Ensure multimodal data stays coherent across space and time in 3D.
• Mentor junior scientists and interns; demonstrate scientifically rigorous methods.
