Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking Applied Scientists to tackle complex security and sovereignty challenges within AWS. You will design and deliver high-impact solutions, leveraging deep research and cross-organizational influence in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

The role emphasizes advanced research, collaboration across teams, and the development of new approaches to security problems in cloud, devices, and services. A strong publication or research background is valued.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience is required.
• Experience in SAT/SMT, mechanical theorem proving, symbolic simulation, programming language type systems, or program analysis is preferred.
• Experience programming in OCaml, Dafny, Haskell, Kotlin, Lean, Rust, Scala or related language is a plus.
