About the role
The Applied Scientist will play a hands-on, multifaceted role within our international organization, managing complex data labeling processes and stakeholder needs. The role involves enhancing data labeling efficiency through strategic and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

1. Advanced Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects across interdisciplinary teams, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
2. Clarification and Simplification of Product Requirements: Understand product needs, communicate clearly, and break down technical tasks for smooth execution.
3. Machine Learning Model Development: Design and develop advanced ML models to optimize labeling speed and quality.
4. Collaborative Experimentation and Documentation: Partner with teams to plan experiments, document results meticulously, and address stakeholder inquiries.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least five years of experience in building large-scale NLP systems.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and international teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills to identify opportunities, set strategic directions, and drive product development.
• Hands-on experience with practical ML solutions addressing real-world challenges, including familiarity with algorithms, evaluation, and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python programming (intermediate to advanced).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL, data modeling, and database management.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in relevant fields.
• Four years of experience delivering complex cross-functional projects.
