Job summary

Swift is seeking an Applied Research Mathematician in Annapolis Junction, MD to advance mathematical methods for complex, mission-driven problems. You will plan, develop, and apply mathematical modeling, algorithm development, and analytic reasoning to produce defensible results.

Responsibilities include applying advanced mathematics to real-world challenges, coordinating research efforts across disciplines, and ensuring rigor and accuracy in analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience with mathematical modeling, algorithm development, and analytic problem-solving.
• Strong foundation in advanced mathematics including discrete mathematics, linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
• Degree must include at least 24 credit hours of advanced mathematics.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required (Level 4).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and perform work involving the development and application of mathematical methods to solve complex problems across various subject areas.
• Leverage advanced mathematics, algorithm development, and modeling techniques to support mission-driven analysis and research efforts.
• Apply mathematical methods to real-world problems in a research or applied setting.
