CNA's Resources and Force Readiness division is seeking an applied microeconomist for policy-oriented research and client-facing communication. Ideal candidates have PhD-level training and strong quantitative skills, with Python or R skills considered a plus.

The role emphasizes independent work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to research on workforce management, readiness, and health analytics. Clear written and verbal communication is essential for sponsor interactions.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred in economics or related field.
• Experience in policy-oriented research.
• Ability to write, speak, and present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Python or R skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop analytic frameworks for structured and unstructured problems.
• Define, structure, and execute complex studies with quality.
• Build broad knowledge of primary clients/sponsors and their issues.
• Support business development and client relations with high-quality work.
• Interact with sponsors under supervision and with some independence.
• Contribute to research publications and analytic products.
• Communicate results clearly; present to colleagues and sponsors.
• Lead small projects or task leads under supervision.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and guide colleagues on tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
