Job summary

Indecon International Consultants is seeking PhD-qualified individuals to apply economics in applied research for public policy and business clients. The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, econometrics, data analysis, and excel modelling across projects in Ireland and internationally.

Successful candidates will design and manage surveys, conduct complex analyses, and advise governments and commercial clients on policy evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, social research, public policy, or a related discipline with outstanding academic record.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience in consultancy or public policy is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking research and analysis using data from public sources as well as confidential data from clients.
• Undertaking econometric and statistical modelling.
• Undertaking complex Excel modelling.
• Designing and managing surveys, and using statistical techniques to analyse and interpret quantitative data.
• Providing economic and statistical advice to governments, commercial enterprises, organisations and other clients.
• Producing research reports and presentations based on underlying economic analysis.
• Participating in stakeholder engagement processes.
• Managing junior staff in the completion of project deliverables.
• Engaging with clients and working as part of wider teams on complex research projects.
