Qualifications

• Doctorate in clarinet performance required, or ABD candidates with degree conferred by start date.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and retain high-quality applied clarinet students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Pursue scholarly and creative activity that meets CMU standards for tenure and promotion.
• Teach courses in clarinet techniques, coach chamber ensembles, clarinet repertoire, and other courses relevant to qualifications.
• Perform with the faculty Woodwind Quintet—the Powers Quintet.
• Serve on departmental, collegiate, and professional committees; additional duties may be assigned.
