Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Applied AI Scientist IV to serve as a senior technical leader, building production AI systems with a focus on NLP, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search. You will mentor data scientists, steer projects from requirements to delivery, and drive architecture improvements across teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, governance of AI deployments, and working with unstructured healthcare or regulated data. Remote-first with ET schedule preference.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, or Applied AI.
• Experience building production AI solutions using NLP, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
• Experience with Python and/or R, SQL, and large complex datasets.
• Experience with cloud/data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake.
• Experience with unstructured data/document intelligence.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor Data Scientists.
• Healthcare data experience preferred.
• Master's degree or higher.

Our Client is seeking an Applied AI Scientist IV to serve as a senior, hands-on technical leader focused on building and operationalizing advanced AI solutions. This person will work heavily with NLP, RAG, LLMs, embeddings, vector search, document intelligence, and predictive analytics while providing technical direction and mentorship to other Data Scientists.

This is not a chatbot or prompt-engineering role. The ideal candidate has built complex, production-grade AI systems and can evaluate existing approaches, recommend better architectures, and lead projects from requirements through delivery.
