TrendAI in Austin is seeking Applied AI Engineers to shape how teams build with AI across our organization. You’ll design tools, workflows, and standards to help developers create, test, and scale AI-powered applications.

You’ll join a lean, high-impact team working with engineering, infrastructure, and security to ensure scalable, secure solutions. This hybrid role emphasizes end-to-end lifecycle, guardrails, and reusable components, while mentoring others and driving product-like improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals and modern delivery practices.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and mentor others.
• Interest in AI/ML systems is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI development lifecycle and standards for responsible AI adoption.
• Drive cross-functional adoption to scale AI capabilities and improve developer experience.
• Build self-service tooling, templates, and patterns for AI-powered apps.
• Raise engineering standards and mentor engineers and stakeholders.
• Treat internal platforms as products and iterate from feedback.
• Enable AI at scale with reusable components and integration patterns.
