Job summary

Altamira seeks an experienced R&D Technical Lead to bridge AI/ML research and production-ready solutions. You will guide teams from concept to customer delivery, shaping architectures and coordinating data collection across projects.

The ideal candidate brings a strong software background with deep AI/ML expertise, able to translate models into scalable, integrated software. Collaboration across disciplines will drive solutions for real-world customer needs.

Qualifications

7+ years in machine learning with at least 3 years leading teams from research to production deployment.
Proven computer vision experience in object tracking and real-time video analytics (CNNs/Transformers).
Advanced programming in Python and high-performance languages (C++/Rust/Java) with backend deployment exposure (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience managing data lifecycles, labeling, and data quality for specialized collections.
Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, aligning project requirements to technical tasking.
System Architecture: Design and implement scalable software systems that integrate AI/ML capabilities.
Collection Coordination: Architect workflows to synchronize data collection across projects, optimizing resources.
Technical Mentorship: Lead engineers, conduct code reviews, and set MLOps and production-pipeline standards.
Strategic Integration: Translate client requirements into actionable AI/ML roadmaps with project managers.
