Job summary

Altamira seeks an experienced R&D Technical Lead to bridge AI/ML research and production-ready solutions. You will provide technical leadership across AI/ML and software engineering, guiding teams from early-stage concepts through customer delivery.

You will shape scalable architectures, mentor engineers, and ensure solutions meet real-world customer needs, with a focus on applied AI/ML for object tracking and data triaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in CS/AI or related quantitative field.
• 7+ years in machine learning; 3+ years leading teams from prototyping to production.
• CV/vision experience: object tracking, CNNs, Transformers, real-time analytics.
• Expert Python and high-performance languages; experience with deployment tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
• Data lifecycle management from acquisition to high-fidelity labeling.
• Strong ability to communicate AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: guide engineering teams and translate requirements to tasks.
• System Architecture: design scalable AI/ML enabled software systems.
• Collection Coordination: architect workflows to sync data collection across projects.
• Technical Mentorship: lead engineers, conduct code reviews, set MLOps standards.
• Strategic Integration: translate client requirements into AI/ML roadmaps.
