Oklo in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, building ML-enabled tools for nuclear design and analysis. You will design and deploy production ML models, collaborate with engineers and nuclear experts, and contribute to growth of a small software organization within a fast-moving startup.

You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver practical AI solutions, using physics-informed techniques, and scale models for real-world applications in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent software engineering experience.
• Experience integrating AI into large data ontologies and leading company-wide initiatives.
• Proficiency in Python and ML development.
• Experience with physics-informed machine learning, surrogates, and digital twins.
• Experience working with large data collection pipelines.
• Strong background in optimization, statistics, and design of experiments.

Responsibilities

• Invent and implement practical LLM-based workflows to accelerate Oklo’s business and engineering processes.
• Design, implement, deploy and maintain production machine learning models for the design and analysis of nuclear systems.
• Develop surrogate models for use in real-time digital twins.
• Grow and manage a team of software engineers to support AI initiatives.
• Present roadmaps, demos, and progress updates to senior leadership, ensuring departments' needs are met.
