Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an AI/ML professional to identify high-value use cases, translate business needs into scalable AI solutions, and collaborate with data science and engineering teams to deploy and monitor these systems. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of AI/ML experience, strong ML fundamentals, and hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NLP libraries, along with cloud and data processing

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in CS, Statistics, ML, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience developing and implementing AI/ML solutions with ML, LLMs, NLP, and data science techniques.
• Strong foundation in ML and statistical methods: regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, deep learning, supervised/unsupervised learning.
• Experience with tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NLP libraries; strong knowledge of cloud, big data, scalable data processing, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI/ML use cases with stakeholders and translate business needs into solution approaches, success metrics, and delivery plans.
• Develop and support AI/ML solutions using ML, NLP, Generative AI, and LLM-based approaches such as retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflow automation.
• Collaborate across data science and engineering teams to deploy scalable solutions with evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and alignment to risk and responsible AI standards.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
