Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks an Applied AI and Machine Learning Lead to design and deliver machine learning solutions across the firm. You will own project framing, experimentation, and productionization while ensuring robust, scalable results and measurable impact.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to raise the technical bar and drive continuous learning across the organization.

Qualifications

• MS and/or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with at least 5 years of applied machine learning experience.
• At least 5 year's experience in Python, Java, C/C++, etc. Intermediate Python is a must.
• At least 5 years’ experience in applying data science, ML techniques to solve business problems.
• Solid background in NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with ML and deep learning methods.
• Deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in advanced applied ML areas like GPU optimization, finetuning, embedding models, inference, prompt engineering, evaluation, and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on a wide range of ML techniques and optimizations.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of ML algorithms, frameworks, and techniques.
• Enhance ML workflows with proficiency in LLMs and related techniques.
• Conduct experiments with latest ML technologies, analyze results, and tune models.
• Hands-on coding to production with Python for proof of concept and production-ready solutions.
• Optimize system accuracy and performance by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Integrate Generative AI within the ML Platform using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Drive decisions that influence product design and technical operations.
