Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks an Applied AI and Machine Learning Lead to shape analytics and generative AI at enterprise scale. You will design, build, and deploy production-ready models and intelligent workflows, partnering with stakeholders to define success metrics and governance aligned to regulated environments.

You will lead semantic modeling, ontology standards, and a unified semantic layer that enables trusted analytics across BI, ML, and transactional systems while mentoring teams

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a data science-related discipline or PhD with 8+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying ML and generative AI using Python.
• Production-quality code with reliability and performance considerations.
• Experience with CI practices and unit test development.
• Experience building data pipelines for analytics and ML use cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication translating technical decisions to business impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop generative AI, agent-based AI, and LLM solutions in Python from concept to production.
• Design context engineering to improve model accuracy, latency, reliability, and performance.
• Lead semantic modeling strategy, ontology standards, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Create scalable ontologies modeling business entities, relationships, rules, and constraints.
• Define semantic integration patterns across data pipelines, APIs, data contracts, and experience layers.
• Build and govern a unified semantic layer enabling trusted analytics across BI, ML, and transactional systems.
• Enable intelligent workflows and AI agents using ontology-driven context and semantic reasoning.
• Build and maintain pipelines/frameworks for model training, evaluation, monitoring, and production ops.
• Implement responsible AI practices and governance aligned to regulated environments.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders, including senior leaders.
