Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applied Science Manager for Alexa for Shopping (Rufus) to lead a team focused on post-training and alignment of LLM/VLM models for new shopping experiences. You will define the science roadmap and supervise the delivery of scalable AI in the shopping assistant.

You will work with researchers, engineers, and product managers to translate customer needs into robust ML solutions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a delightful user experience at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• 5+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
• Experience building complex software systems involving deep learning, ML and computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team working on LLM and/or VLM post-training and alignment for new shopping experiences.
• Set the roadmap and vision for science investments across multiple customer experiences.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to ship production AI at scale.
