Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited PhD Program.
• 1st year of PhD coursework must be completed by June 2027.
• Completed 2nd or 3rd year of PhD program encouraged.
• PhD in Computer Science, ML, CS/EE or related fields.
• Programming experience (Python) and DL frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
• Publications in leading conferences (ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, KDD, CVPR).

Responsibilities

• Join Capital One for a full-time, 12-week summer applied research experience.
• Engage in high-impact applied research and contribute to publications.
• Partner with a cross-functional team of researchers, data scientists,Software Engineers, ML Engineers and PMs.
• Leverage PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, HuggingFace, Lightning, VectorDBs to analyze large datasets.
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals.
• Collaborate with leading researchers to publish at top conferences.
• Participate in networking, technical deep dives, and executive sessions.
