Ares Management Corporation seeks a highly technical Vice President, Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions across the firm’s Credit platform. You will partner with investment, product, data and engineering teams to transform data into scalable AI applications using semantic layers, RAG, knowledge graphs, MCP integrations, and agent-driven workflows.

You will combine software engineering excellence with enterprise AI experience, implementing LLMs, vector databases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or adjacent field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of software, data or platform engineering experience.
• 4+ years building production AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions.
• Experience implementing LLM, RAG, semantic search, knowledge graph and agent-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production AI applications supporting Credit investment workflows.
• Build AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, semantic search, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI capabilities with measurable KPIs.
• Prototype, validate, and productionize new AI use cases.
• Design semantic layers and knowledge architecture across datasets; develop knowledge models and ontologies.
