Perplexity is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and iterate on cutting-edge agents powering our core Perplexity Computer experience. You will own the full model lifecycle, from research to production, and collaborate with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers to deliver impactful product improvements.

The role emphasizes implementing state-of-the-art ML/LLM approaches, experimentation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure quality and user impact across millions of users

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for production ML systems.
• Experience building and shipping AI products at scale.
• Strong understanding of ML lifecycle from data to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art ML/LLM techniques to real-world problems.
• Develop and iterate on Perplexity Computer agents.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers to ship features.
• Design experiments and metrics, and drive A/B testing and evaluation.
• Own model lifecycle from research to production and monitoring.
