Perplexity is seeking energetic engineers to join our Agents team, a group of backend, full-stack, and AI/ML engineers building harnesses and AI systems powering agentic experiences like the Perplexity Computer and the Comet ecosystem.

As an engineer on this team you will apply AI expertise and a tinkerer's mindset to push frontier capabilities, collaborating across applied research and engineering to tackle open problems and deliver reliable, delightful products.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across the full AI product stack.
• Proficiency in Python; knowledge of TS/Go/Rust is a plus.
• Experience with browser technologies and frontier AI contexts.

Responsibilities

• Engineer agent harnesses that connect powerful models with environments and tools.
• Drive cutting-edge AI capabilities across multiple layers of a rapidly growing product in the AI agents space.
• Develop and leverage cutting-edge AI models, infrastructure, and browser technologies to scale capabilities for a growing userbase.
• Ensure a high craft and quality bar, in AI agent performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, data scientists, and others to integrate Perplexity functionality.
• Contribute to product reliability, code quality, AI evaluation, testing, and maintenance.
