Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a PS Academic Program Manager to lead innovative AI and emerging technologies education for adult learners, campus partners, and organizations across Utah. You will design, develop, and deliver practical AI learning experiences that translate rapidly evolving AI technologies into accessible education aligned with workforce needs.

Reporting to the Senior Director of APP, you will teach AI workshops, collaborate across academic and external partners, and expand

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
3+ years designing and delivering professional education for adults.
Experience using generative AI technologies in education.
Experience teaching AI, digital transformation, or related topics.
Curriculum design for organizations, employers, or stakeholder groups.
Experience delivering online, hybrid, and in-person formats.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
Knowledge of responsible AI practices including privacy, security, governance.
Ability to learn emerging technologies quickly and adapt.

Responsibilities

Conduct needs assessments with employers and campus partners to identify workforce needs and translate into new offerings.
Design and teach AI workshops, courses, and customized training in online, hybrid, and in-person formats.
Deliver applied instruction in generative AI, prompt engineering, AI literacy, and automation.
Develop and improve AI curriculum using learner and market feedback to stay relevant.
Expand the AI at Work micro-credential and align offerings with workforce needs.
Partner with university departments, businesses, government agencies, and healthcare organizations to design AI education.
Collaborate across APP to expand partnerships and integrate AI into offerings.
Monitor AI trends and ensure programming remains relevant, distinctive, and ethically grounded.
