Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect (Public Sector) to act as a pre-sales technical advisor for GovTech customers, guiding them from discovery through deployment of Claude-based LLM solutions. Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager).
• Experience navigating complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences including C-suite and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Python and with LLM frameworks or ML concepts.

You will help customers understand Claude’s capabilities, design scalable and safe architectures, develop evaluation frameworks, and guide them from technical discovery through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers during adoption, evaluation, and deployment of Claude.
• Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
• Create and deliver technical content for diverse audiences, from engineering deep dives to executive-level business value discussions.
• Guide technical architecture decisions and integrate Claude into existing technology stacks and enterprise systems.
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude’s performance for their use cases.
• Identify common integration patterns and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Travel frequently to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.

Requirements

• Preferably US Secret Clearance for defense-related customers.
• Prior experience in government, government contracting, or GovTech is preferred.
• 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager).
• Experience navigating complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences including C-suite and engineering teams.
• Strong technical communication and ability to translate requirements between technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools or a background in machine learning or data science.
• Enthusiasm for cross-organizational collaboration, mentoring, and teaching.

Compensation & Logistics

• Annual salary range: $275,000 - $315,000 USD.
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
• Location-based hybrid policy: staff expected to be in one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
• Visa sponsorship available for some roles.
