Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Crop Applicator III/CDL Driver to safely apply plant protection products and fertilizer across diverse crops. You will operate specialized equipment, keep precise records, and ensure compliant handling of chemicals.

This role requires a Class A CDL, pesticide license, and a willingness to work long peak-season hours. Gain hands-on experience with digital record-keeping, GPS-guided tools, and precision ag technologies while supporting a 100-year-old family-owned leader

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field application experience.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Pesticide applicator license required.
• Knowledge of calibration techniques and equipment operation.
• Willing to work long hours and varied shifts, up to 6-7 days/week, 10-14 hours/day.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately apply pesticides and fertilizers to customer fields using various application equipment.
• Calculate and calibrate spray rates (e.g., gallons per acre, acres per tank).
• Process work orders and complete all necessary documentation including application records, daily reports, and shipping papers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and conduct basic maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Accurately locate application sites.
• Maintain clean and functional application equipment; coordinate usage and return of all tools and machinery.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals in the facility.

What You Bring to the Role

• Willingness to participate in drug and alcohol testing and routine medical exams.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Ability to use digital record-keeping systems, mobile applications, and electronic work order tools to accurately document applications and field activities.
• Comfortable using GPS-enabled equipment, precision agriculture technologies, and digital mapping tools to locate and complete application work.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-powered productivity tools, digital reporting platforms, and data-driven decision-making tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation for this position ranges from $24.76 to $33.03 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
