SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Custom Applicator to join our agronomy team in a hands-on role that directly supports local growers this growing season.

You will apply crop nutrients and protection products with precision, assist in daily operations, and help maintain equipment to keep productivity high. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 60 lbs, and a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary ag education a plus.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work extended hours during busy seasons.
• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsement, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
• Strong math skills for mixing and calibration.
• Previous experience operating and maintaining farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides using modern custom application equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure correct product application based on blend sheets and crop needs.
• Assist with daily operations, including receiving, loading, and delivering ag products, and treating seed.
• Support customers directly, building trusted relationships reflecting agronomic excellence.
• Perform light mechanical work to keep application equipment and vehicles in top working condition.
• Work extended hours during peak seasons and take pride in getting the job done right.

What You’ll Do

As a key part of our agronomy team, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and accurately apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides using modern custom application equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a reliable team player with a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, and a passion for agriculture.

• High school diploma or GED (post-secondary ag education a plus)


• Ability to lift 60 lbs and work in varying weather conditions


• Willingness to work extended hours during busy seasons


• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsement, or willingness to obtain


• Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License

Preferred:
