Croda invites applications for an Applications Scientist to expand CASE capabilities at the Princeton site. You will develop and evaluate sustainable specialty ingredients, generate data, and collaborate with customers, commercial teams, and global R&D to turn science into market-ready solutions.

The role encompasses lab testing, method development, data analysis, and technical support for coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers across industries.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience or strong knowledge of the CASE market (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers).
• Experience designing and executing laboratory studies and analyzing data.
• Strong written/verbal communication and customer-facing skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to collaborate globally.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Physically capable of bench work for extended periods.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and new industry trends.
• Experience creating new testing methods and laboratory programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate sustainable specialty ingredients for industrial applications.
• Support expansion of CASE capabilities at the Princeton site and develop methods.
• Design, formulate, and evaluate additives in coatings, adhesives, and elastomers.
• Analyze results and communicate findings via reports and customer materials.
• Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with sales/marketing.
• Partner with global R&D and commercial teams to drive business growth.
