Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking an Emulation Applications Consultant to drive customer engagements and support the Americas sales team. You will deploy emulation solutions (Veloce Strato) and conduct technical presentations to advance product evaluations.

The role requires hands-on design/verification experience, strong scripting skills, and the ability to map Siemens EDA solutions to customer workflows. Travel across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in design, verification, simulation, emulation/prototyping of electronics chips and systems or as Applications Engineer.
• BS or MS in EE, CE, CS or related areas.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL language, RTL, behavioral coding and ASIC debug.
• C, C++ and SystemC used with chip design and verification.
• Experience with emulation solutions (Veloce/Palladium/ZeBu) and simulators (Questa, Incisive, VCS, OVM/UVM).
• Knowledge of Transaction Level Modeling (TLM) helpful.
• Automation/scripting (Python, Perl, sed, awk, tcl/tk, sh).

As an Emulation Applications Consultant, you will contribute to our success by assisting in the sales and deployment of Siemens emulation and prototyping products.

Job Description

• Drive business for Siemens using hands-on technical expertise. Requires working directly with customers as a part of the sales team during product evaluations to ensure technical milestones are met.
• Deploy Siemens Emulation (Veloce Strato) solutions for customers.
• Promote technical customer service to build and improve customer relationships to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with area sales management, account teams and customers to understand business opportunities and requirements.
• Troubleshoot and remove technical obstacles. Develop and deliver technical presentations on new features and product updates.
• Provide feedback and product ideas to our Emulation product development teams to improve overall product
• Communicate customers' technical requirements to product marketing
• Develop a network of technical relationships at a peer-to-peer level with our customers

Job requirements

• Experience & Education
  • 7+ years’ experience in design, verification, simulation, emulation/prototyping of electronics chips and systems or recent experience as an Applications Engineer in a relevant field
  • BS or MS in EE, CE, CS or related areas
• Technical:
  • Chip/ASIC design or verification experience - knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL language, RTL, behavioral coding and general ASIC debug.
  • C, C++ and SystemC used in conjunction with chip design and verification highly desired.
  • Must have previous experience with industry emulation solutions (Veloce/Palladium/ZeBu), as well as simulation environments using Questa, Incisive, VCS, OVM or UVM.
  • Knowledge of Transaction Level Modeling (TLM) and methodologies would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience with automation/scripting (Python, Perl, sed, awk, tcl/tk, sh).
• Strong understanding of customer design flows and the ability to map Siemens EDA solutions to optimize those workflows
• Proficiency with EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments
• Experience extending or integrating tools through scripting, APIs, or environment configuration
• Ability to articulate and position cross-platform and cross-portfolio solutions to address customer challenges
• Knowledge of competitive EDA environments and the ability to differentiate solutions based on technical value
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful evaluations and deployments
• Ability to deliver training and demos to customers
• Willing to travel to drive business engagements as required across North America (10%)

The pay range for this position is $146,700 - $293,400 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
